The best way to validate an area code / zip code combination

Webmasters / Fraud Detection specialists: do you need to validate that an area code corresponds to the zip code entered? Are area code splits and overlays making this impossible to do? Then you need our Multi-Area Codes per Zip (MAC) file which will have a zip code along with all of the valid area codes for that zip code.

We include all area codes that a zip code crosses over, plus all overlays that apply to those area codes. An overlay is an alternate area code that applies to the same area code. Overlays were created so that an area code would not have to be split again. For instance, Miami has 305 for their main area code, but 786 could be an area code in the same geographic area.
